The mechanisms, cells, and molecules involved in immunological responses will be examined in this course. Emphasis is on comparison of antibody and cytokine responses. Resistance to infectious organisms, allergic responses, tissue transplantation, and autoimmune diseases will also be discussed. 3 lecture hours per week. Offered in alternate spring semesters. Prerequisite: BIO 203/203L.
