The experience is designed to allow for the development of professionalism in the school and community setting through observations in a variety of early childhood settings and collaboration with school professionals. In this course students will participate in professional and student organizations, read professional literature as they select, implement and adapt effective instructional strategies, curriculum resources and technologies to create a unit. These will be developed to meet the needs of diverse learners in the areas of language and literacy, mathematics, science, citizenship education, health, safety, nutrition, art, music, drama, movement and culturally valued content. Field experience and a multidisciplinary unit are required. Prerequisite: EDU 213.
