The application of principles and theory covered in RC 232 will be provided in a campus laboratory setting. Laboratory exercises will include: care and management of the patient?s airway and extensive hands-on experiences with a variety of mechanical ventilators. Emphasis will be placed on set up, maintenance and adapting/modifying the ventilator to specific circumstances. Prerequisites: BIO 107, 107L, BIO 108, 108L; CIS 101; COM 101; ENG 101; MTH 136; CHM 111; PSY 100; PHY 111; any 2 designated Signature Courses. Corequisites: all second semester RC 200 level courses, BIO 111, 111L.
