This entry-level course is designed for deaf students and taught in American Sign Language. Writing topics include prewriting strategies, how to construct correct sentences, how to structure a paragraph, and how to write a descriptive and narrative paragraph. Grammar points include the simple past, present, and future verb tenses, the present progressive, parts of speech, basic s-v-o/s-v-c woorder, formation of negative sentences, and questions. This course is not for college-level credit. Repeatable for up to six credit hours. Prerequisites: Placement by ESOL Assessment Exam. Course Type: D
