This course will provide in-depth coverage of the anatomy and physiology of the cardiopulmonary system. Particular emphasis will be placed on pulmonary mechanics, control of breathing and gas exchange. General characteristics of obstructive and restrictive lung disease will be addressed. Prerequisites: BIO 107, 107L, BIO 108, 108L; CIS 101; COM 101; ENG 101; MTH 136; PSY 100; PHY 111; any 2 designated Signature Courses. Corequisites: all first semester RC 200 level courses, CHM 111.
