Designed forESOL students at the introductory level, this course emphasizes speaking and listening to everyday American English. There is a strong focus on understanding simple conversations, generating conversations about simple topics, and using correct pronunciation, including vowel and consonant sounds as well as stress and intonation. This course is not for college-level credit. Repeatable for up to six hours of credit. Prerequisites: Placement in the class by the ESOL Oral Assessment. Course Type: D
