This course will providestudents with a general understanding of the different aspects of power, such as generation, transmission, distribution, regulatory requirements, and safety issues. It will review the elements that compose power systems. It includes an introduction to electric utility planning, design, operation, maintenance, and fi nancing. It will also review a variety of fuels used, generation systems, transmission types, distribution structures and operation, customer interface types, regulatory requirements, generation plant operations, a safety overview, electrical power system standards, and some power engineering concepts.
