Emphasizes continued development of conceptual and technical skills relative to black and white photography. In addition to 35mm, students work with medium format and 4x5 cameras, studio lighting, and a range of alternative photographic approaches. Photographers and photographic work will be discussed within a historical and cultural context. Prerequisite: ART 221 or consent of the instructor. Spring, $80 fee, 6 hours practicum, 3 credits.
