This course has been designed specifically to give employees at every level an introduction to the essential skills and the knowledge needed to succeed in today's business world. The course will focus on the skills that area businesses indicate are critical to having competent and successful employees. Students will develop techniques to improve their communication, critical thinking, time management, problem solving and teamwork skills. Provides an overview of such topics as customer service, risk management, basic marketing, public relations, motivation, work ethic and professionalism. 4 credits.
