Focuses on the processes of language, student-centered classrooms rich with literature, writing, speaking, listening, drama and media literacy, appropriate teaching strategies, assessments, and instructional media. Fieldwork required and clearances are necessary. Prerequisites: ECE 202, EDUC 302. (Open to certification candidates only.) Fall and Spring, 3 hours lecture and discussion + field assignments, 3 credits.
