Designed to provide an introduction to the concept(s) of homeland security in a post 9/11 world, and the ever expanding role of "homeland security" as it relates to national security issues. The course will be examined from an historical, organizational, domestic, and global philosophical perspective. The concepts of "all hazards planning," the National Incident Management System (NIMS), incident and unified command, emergency management, and planning will be included.
