This seminar explores sources and uses of energy in a technical society. Issues regarding fossil fuels, nuclear energy, solar energy, and alternative sources of energy are investigated. Conservation of energy and the storage of energy are discussed. Energy uses for plant and food production, transportation, industrial output, leisure activities, and the national defense are reviewed.
