This interdisciplinary seminar introduces students to a process for evaluating the sustainablility of built systems in both the industrialized and developing worlds. The course addresses the historical, moral, and ethical foundations for the current sustainablility movement as well as frameworks that can be used to determine the economic, environmental, and social-equity components of sustainability across the life-cycle of built systems.
