For thousands of years, the theatre has both entertained and provided a forum in which social issues can be explored. This seminar will investigate, through readings and performances, how theatre provides an immediate and strong voice to debate social and political problems. Students will have opportunities, through writing, discussion, and theatrical performance, to explore social and political issues and the ways in which dramatic works can inspire social change.
