Possible topics include the theoretical concepts that underlie an era of "school" (e.g., the New Viennese School), a theoretical/ compositional discipline such as eighteenth-century counterpoint, or a special aspect of analysis such as form and structure in music. Descriptions of current offerings are available through the department office and the Registrar's Office. Lecture/discussion/ laboratory/listening.
