In this course we explore the ways in which different peoples lived in Southeast Asia, why they moved to America, and the ways in which this move affected their cultures. Topics explored include: aspects of their culture, particularly religion and social organizations; motivations for migrating including war, political, and economic reasons; and their adaptations to America and American responses to their presences.
