They study abstracting systems, current regulations that govern prospective payment and health care financing. The role of regulatory agencies is included, and the dynamics of change in the health information environment is presented. Contemporary topics in health information management are discussed. Prerequisite: HIT 212 and concurrent enrollment in HIT 211. (SCC)
