Formerly HUMAN 241. This course is designed for students interested in the history of Germany's Nazi past. Students examine the depiction of national socialism and racism in important German language films by significant European film directors from the 1950s to the present. Class discussion encourages a comparative perspective that draws connections to the issues of nationalism and racism in Germany and the U.S. today. The course is taught in English, and all films have English subtitles. (SFCC)
