Students are introduced to the field of cardiovascular technology, basic cardiac anatomy, physiology and electrophysiology with emphasis on the performance and interpretation of the electrocardiogram. Laboratory experiences to support these concepts also are included. Prerequisite: Admission to the program and concurrent enrollment in VASC 131, 132, 138. (SCC)
