Prerequisite: SPAN 1311 or the equivalent or demonstrated competence approved by the instructor. This is the second semester of academic transfer Spanish. It continues the oral practice, reading, writing, grammar and cultural studies begun in SPAN 1311. Students are expected to acquire a substantial amount of vocabulary and begin to deal with idiomatic language and more advanced syntax. This course is cross-listed as SPAN 1412 but is used only in Study Abroad programs. Students may register for either SPAN 1312 or SPAN 1412 but may receive credit for only one of the two.
