This is a WECM Course Number. An overview of licensing as a real estate broker and salesperson, ethics of practice, titles to and conveyancing of real estate, legal descriptions, law of agency, deeds, encumbrances and liens, distinctions between personal and real property, contracts, appraisal, finance and regulations, closing procedures, and real estate mathematics. Also includes federal, state, and local laws relating to housing discrimination, housing credit discrimination, and community reinvestment. This course must be taken concurrently with RELE 2209. This course is cross-listed as RELE 1301. The student may register for either RELE 1201 or RELE 1301, but may receive credit for only one of the two. (2 Lec.)
