Prerequisite: Developmental Reading 0093 or English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading. This course focuses on cultural, social, and institutional factors affecting relationships within and among ethnic, cultural, and racial groups. Emphasis is on current problems of intergroup relations, social movements, and related social changes, as well as community building and conflict resolution.
