This is the first class in a three-quarter sequence of evening classes offered by the Industrial Power and Control Technologies program. This class covers the fundamentals of electricity and magnetism, single-phase and three phase circuits, transformers and electrical machines (AC and DC rotating equipment). The following classes cover magnetic and solid-state motor control, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and electrical and electronic drives. Prerequisite: EET 162. Students should have previous electrical experience.
