Provides opportunity to learn equipment, advanced circuits and concepts involved in medical health care. Stresses patient-connected monitoring equipment from the repair calibration point of view. Emphasis is on detailed knowledge of diagnostic procedures and rapid, effective servicing techniques. Course is planned to help prepare students for the patient monitoring sections of the biomedical equipment technology certification test sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). Prerequisites: EET 165 and EET 170 or EET 127, EET 128; AHI 100; and ANP 128.
