This interdisciplinary course introduces students to the study of women in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East or indigenous women in some Western societies. Explore commonalities and differences among women in various societies and cultures. Includes women's histories and identities, experiences of colonialism and globalization, concerns and issues, and women as agents of social change. Focus on societies or regions may vary. May be taken as WMN 205. Transfer class.
