Topics include: basic concepts of nano/microelectronics-mechanical materials and why they lead to different materials properties; applications of nano/microelectronics-mechanical materials to electronics, magnetics, mechanics, fluidics, optics, photonics and smart, biological materials; micro and nano sensors and actuators; introduction to processing, fabrication, modeling and testing; overview of industry, ethics and careers as they relate to the fast evolving field of nanotechnology.Prereq: MATH 097.
