The safety, laws and regulations concerning the physician's office laboratory are the focus of this course as well as an introduction to the lab's departments, personnel and testing procedures. Quality control is covered as are lab requisitions and reports, specimen collection and instruction in the use of the microscope. This course prepares students for subsequent courses where the actual collection and testing of various specimens will be performed. Please note: Supply fee required
