Examines ethical questions surrounding clinical medical practice, ethical issues in biomedical research, and more general ethical questions concerning the maintenance and improvement of the health and well-being of communities, at local and global levels. Focuses on newly emerging infectious diseases (AIDS, drug resistant tuberculosis) and on environmentally induced diseases, such as asthma, cancers, chemical sensitivity, environmental illnesses and reproductive disorders.
