Fire streams and pump operations as they relate to fundamental development of basic firefighter skills. (This course may be offered only by institutions licensed as a fire academy by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection). Prerequisite: Must have EMT-B certification and be accepted into the Fire Academy. Corequisite(s): FIRS 1103, FIRS 1301, FIRS 1319, FIRS 1329, FIRS 1407, FIRS 1423, FIRS 1433. This is a 12-week course held at Bryaton Fire Field. Three class hours per week. Credit: Three semester hours. 36 total student contact hours.
