A comprehensive survey of theories and research concerning basic learning and memory processes and their application to a variety of areas, including eyewitness memory, false memory syndrome, autobiographical memory, and memory decline in aging. Theoretical and background perspectives include associative approaches and neurophysiological bases for encoding, storage, and retrieval. Three hours credit. Spring alternate years. Prerequisite: PSY 202 and PSY 250.
