A two semester foundation course for clear and correct diction in singing. The various categories of speech sounds are explored in the languages of Italian, English, Latin, French and German. Emphasis is placed on differences between spoken and sung diction in each language. One hour credit each semester. No prerequisite. Fall and Spring.
