An introduction to research methods-- library as well as Internet resources, word processing, and the methodology for writing a documented essay in English studies incorporated with an introduction to prominent kinds of text theory, and to methods of applying principles of theory to written and visual texts. The theory and research will inform one another and guide the scholarly work the student produces. Three hours credit. Requirement: Core for English and Communications majors and for English minor. Prerequisite: ENG 102.
