An introduction to the psychological and educational characteristics of the major types of exceptionalities, including learning disabilities, mental disabilities, and behavioral/ emotional disabilities. The special needs of individuals with speech, hearing, visual, and physical disabilities will also be covered, as well as special education issues and services. Three hours credit. Spring. Prerequisite: Sophomore level. Co-requisite: EDU 246.
