This course is designed as an introduction to the prevention and intervention approaches used to deal with the most common classroom management issues and behavioral difficulties exhibited by students in general education classrooms, grades K-6. Specific techniques such as classroom meetings, functional behavior assessment, secondary reinforcement programs, punishment, and school-wide behavioral support will be presented. Fall Semester. Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Education Program.
