This course is designed to provide candidates with the practical application of collaborative teaching methods in inclusive classrooms. Emphasis is placed on the development of the consultation skills needed to work with general educators, paraprofessionals and parents. Strategies for planning and maintaining communication are addressed as they relate to various co-teaching models including Team Co-Teaching, Parellel Co-Teaching, Station Co-Teaching, and Alternative Co-Teaching. Three hours credit. Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education Program. Co-requisite: EDU 333.
