Using sociological theories, reasons and possible remedies are examined for various issues including: social inequality, crime, drug abuse,family violence, population growth and environmental destruction. PREREQUISITE: Eligible for ENGL& 101 or instructor's permission. Satisfies a social science requirement for AA degree. Formerly SOC 201.
