Introductory study of proofs; one-to-one, onto, inverse and composite functions; properties of relations; sets including cardinality, countability and the Pigeonhole Principle; Boolean algebras including de Morgan's Laws; logic including propositional logic and digital logic; and counting techniques including permutations and combination. PREREQUISITE: Either MATH 106 or MATH& 142 with a grade of 2.0 or higher; or appropriate placement; or instructor's permission. Satisfies a quantitative skills or a natural science requirement for AA degree.
