Students will examine the ways gender operates in a variety of different situations including literary, cultural, and philosophical texts and experiences. Provides students with some of the available critical tools needed to understand contemporary gender theory as it relates to questions surrounding gender issues in personal and professional relationships, power, communication, language, the media, etc. Satisfies a humanities/fine arts/English requirement for AA degree. RECOMMEND: Eligible for ENGL& 101.
