U.S. history from the Civil War to modern times. Students will examine U.S. history from several perspectives. The development of our nation, major wars, and economic and policy developments will be the major framework. To that framework will be added several histories, such as women's history, American Indian history, African American history, Latino history, immigration history, and some labor history. PREREQUISITE: Eligible for READ 094 and ENGL 081.
