Description:
This is the beginning level of English for Speakers of other Languages for students who are permanent Washington state residents. Students will study time, money, family, "be" verb, and other common present tense verbs. Students will begin to understand and use more authentic speech in describing their daily activities. Students will be able to read short simplified paragraphs on everyday subjects. Students will be able to write simple sentences on familiar topics. Students will learn organizational skills and learn to function in a classroom setting. This is a pass/no credit course.
