A historical and critical survey of selected works of English literature from the seventh through the sixteenth centuries. Readings may include selections from Beowulf, The Canterbury Tales, "The Alliterative Revival," early English drama, and early English prose and lyric poetry. PREREQUISITE: Eligible for ENGL& 101.
