Covers basic rules of guidance applicable to criminal and other related police duties. Fundamental questions of evidence and theories of proof including hearsay, documentary proof, self- incrimination, relevance, and presumptions are examined. Special emphasis is on the exclusionary rule and search and seizure aspects of the Fourth Amendment. PREREQUISITE: CJ& 101 or instructor's permission; and CJ 200 or instructor's permission; and ENGL& 101 or higher, or instructor's permission. Formerly CRJ 205.
