Continues the study of Mandarin Chinese (the official Chinese language) focusing on the four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Emphasizes pronunciation, vocabulary development, and sentence structure. Includes practice with complex Chinese characters as well as simpler forms. PREREQUISITE: A grade of 2.0 or higher in CHIN& 121 or equivalent with instructor's permission. Satisfies a humanities/fine arts/English requirement for AA degree. Formerly CHIN 102.
