An exploration of both the art and science of persuasion and propaganda campaigns through the critical analysis of a series of historical case studies and/or social movements. Explores how the historical, political and cultural factors involved in a specific situation influence what strategies and tactics might be employed in a situation. Relates rhetorical choices to ethical consideration and to the long-term impact on a community. RECOMMENDED: Eligible for ENGL& 101. Satisfies a humanities/fine arts/English requirement for AA degree. Formerly COMM 212.
