An introduction to the organization, financing, regulatory and delivery structures of the many and varied healthcare services, providers, payers, and agencies in the United States. Focuses on the healthcare organization, accreditation standards, payment and reimbursement systems. Current issues in healthcare will be addressed in order to enrich the students understanding and breadth of knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system along with the roles and functions of various healthcare professionals. PREREQUISITE: BUS E 100; AP 100 or 103; and ENGL 108.
