Develops fundamental accounting principles and applications from initial journal entries through the preparation of financial statements for service and merchandising firms. Topics include the accounting equation, the accounting cycle in service and merchandising firms, special journals, cash transactions, payroll, accounting professionals, and computerized accounting systems. RESTRICTION: Accounting majors are not eligible for this class.
