3 hours per week. Prerequisite: MAT 1033 with a grade of "C" or better,or a CLM score of at least 40. A study of descriptive statistics, probability theory, random variables, hypothesis tests, confidence intervals, beta errors, and comparison of two sample means. This course is designed to fulfill the statistical needs of students entering the disciplines of business, social sciences and biological/physical sciences.
