The main objective of the course is to increase the student's ability to comprehend written material. Emphasis is placed on textbook reading, vocabulary development and advanced critical levels of comprehension. Improvement of reading rate will be emphasized in reading lab. Credit is not applicable toward the A.A. or A.S degrees. In addition to classroom instruction, students must attend a computerized reading lab with individualized instruction. Prerequisite: REA 0001C with a grade of C or better or sufficient score on placement test.
