Pre-requisite: Successful completion of Music Entrance Exam and audition. Co-requisite: MUSI 131. A course to develop the aural skills for singing elementary melodies and rhythms, and dictation of melodies, rhythms and harmonies. Specifically, these aural skills involve the identification of intervals, triad types, melodic lines, scales, triad factors; the identification of rhythmic patterns and errors in rhythmic patterns; the writing of dictated melodies, multiple melodies, triads, diatonic progressions; the sight-singing of interval, broken chords, and melodies; the ability to tap or sing rhythmic patterns.
