Students will learn algorithm development and object-oriented program design using an object-oriented language such as Java. Topics include control structures, program debugging, documentation, user-defined methods, parameter passing, graphical user interfaces, arrays, and user-defined classes. Students spend a substantial amount of out-of-class time working on computer projects. 4 credit hours.
